Porto San Giorgio, Italy

099, originally uploaded by Milad Rafiei.

Before coming to NZ. Tarek and I went on a bit of European trip again. The plan was to start off in Amdsterdam then Germany and off Italy to see Alessia and Stefi in Porto Giorgio new Ancona. I have been to the East coast of Italy before so it was the first.

Firstly it was lovely to see Alessia for sure. :) It was probably the highlight of the trip eventhough it was only for 3 days but what was unique about this place was the fact that there noone there but Italian. I think it is a holiday destination for Italians.

On the last day we met up with Alessia's brother and his friends. We all went to a night club right on the beach. You don't get to see that in NZ which is a shame. Anyway all and all it was a good night. Next up after this place we was Venice and let me say we struggled to wake up and leave.

Muriwai Beach on a rainy day

Muriwai Beach, originally uploaded by Milad Rafiei.

This is another photo I really like. Yet again me and the cousins went on small trip to Muriwai beach west of Auckland. This was couple of months back. The weather was still cold and misty but nonetheless it was an enjoyable day.

Back to the photo. For me it captures that day quite nicely. The weather is a bit wild so was the sea. There was a hint of sadness and darkness in the air. So I thought black and white is more appropriate.

Note, I'm not a photographer by any stretch of imagination but I like taking photos. Nothing brings back memories like photos in my opinion.

Nice day at Piha

Auckland so far, originally uploaded by Milad Rafiei.

Me and the cousins went to Piha, west coast of Auckland on one of the first summer days. It was a good day but the water was still a bit too cold for my linking.

Even though Piha is a surf beach I still enjoy going there. I don't know why maybe because it seems so wild. The bush helps as well but you can't really see the bush in this picture. I'll probably go there again this weekend if the weather holds up.

Mr Yellow Pants

Auckland so far, originally uploaded by Milad Rafiei.

I went to party in the park organised by George FM a few months back. We had great day. Khasha, Josh and quite a few other people showed but the highlight of the day was this middle aged guy was wearing this bright yellow pants and he was just dancing away. He was having so much and I think he wanted everyone to have fun too so he was encouraging everyone to dance with him. Good on him. He is living the dream...

Sort of funny...

Cafe 1001, BrickLane, One of my favourite places in London

Cafe 1001, BrickLane, One of my favourite places in London
Cafe 1001, BrickLane, originally uploaded by Milad Rafiei.

East London is where I use to live and I spent considerable amount of time around Spitalfields and Bricklane. Not only it was 5 minutes away from my apartment I found to be one of the most diverse places in London. You can be totally yourself without being judged (the fact that there were so many freaks around help too I guess hehehe). People from all sorts of life hang around here. Very colourful indeed.

Anyway, this was taken when Cafe 1001 had one of those all nighter weekends. You can see the number of people hanging around outside and just chilling. This type party would go on pretty much till the next noon... Good times.

This particular night there was Jerome, Tarek and Benji from Paris. In fact I think we went out to show Bricklane to Benji. He was very please with Bricklane.

Budapest - One of my fav photos

I took this photo in Budapest. One of my least favourite places I have been around Europe. It's a very dull city but still I had good company with Jerome, Anthony and Tarek. Ah good old times.

Now everything has changed quite a bit. Tarek is in Abu Dhabi. Jerome just moved back to Paris to live with Audrey and they are having a baby now and I'm back in NZ till end of March at least.

All and all it was a memorable trip. I'll post some pictures from Italy and Croatia later on. We had much more fun there.

Ok, Back In NZ

Well well, yet again I have been quite lazy. Firstly happy new year everyone. I hope everyone has had a great new year so far. I haven't posted it anything for quite some time now. There has been a lot happening. Quite a bit of travelling and I'm finally back in NZ again. Although I'm hoping to go back to London sometime this year again.

I'll post more later on why I'm back here again and what I have been through over the past few months. I'm just hoping this year would be a better year.
